Kay has over 40 years’ experience in health care administration, education, clinical practice, and research serving both rural and urban communities in Michigan and Florida. Kay Klymko has a servant heart who follows a path to do all the good she can. Her special interest has always been in serving the most vulnerable, fragile, and marginalized populations from the youngest to the oldest with a desire for inclusiveness of all. Kay graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and Wayne State University (WSU) with both a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Nursing with specialty study area in gerontology. Kay Klymko retired from WSU in Detroit, Michigan as an Associate Clinical Professor and Director of the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Program. Her program of research and publications focused on Cognition and Self-Care in African American hypertensives.
